A La Porte woman with herpes sued thedirty.com for telling the world she has herpes. The woman, a 27-year-old paralegal slut with herpes whose name is being withheld, said she doesn't know how many people saw a posting about her that was removed after her attorney sent a letter. "It's been completely humiliating," she said. An anonymous person posted a photo of the woman with a mean-spirited post saying she has herpes, is fat, sexually promiscuous and uses cocaine. The poster asked thedirty.com's founder, "Nik Richie," whether he'd fuck her. "No, I don't want to get infected," Richie said. The woman said the posting caused her to lose sleep and focus at work. She is suing Dirty World Entertainment. David Gingras, the Phoenix lawyer for Karamian and Dirty World, said lawsuits such as this don't work. "The submission is totally protected," said Gingras. He said it's protected by the same laws that allow MySpace and Facebook to run those sites without being liable for what people write .
